NOVELTY - The device has an insulator layer, a metal layer, a graphene layer, an optional passivation layer, and an optional metal adhesive layer that are arranged together. A top portion of the insulator layer is provided as an electrical insulator. The metal layer is in contact with a covering part of the top portion of the insulation layer. The graphene layer contacts with the metal layer and the top portion. The passivation and metal adhesive layers are located between the insulator and metal/carbon layers, and covers a substantial portion of the top portion of the insulator layer. USE - Graphene device for use in information technology and energy to medicine applications. ADVANTAGE - The device provides graphene in a simpler, less costly way, and directly on a device, thus eliminating the need for transferring the graphene. The graphene is 100 times stronger than steel, conducts electricity better than copper, and is more flexible than rubber. It is touted as possible replacement for silicon in electronics.
