USE - Method for enhancing fire resistance and thermal stability of polyvinyl chloride (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently provides (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane-coated graphene oxide-polyvinyl chloride composite film with excellent fire resistance and thermal stability, by simple and environmentally-friendly method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for enhancing fire resistance and thermal stability of polyvinyl chloride involves dispersing graphene oxide in dimethylformamide in volume ratio of 10-30:30-60, ultrasonically treating to obtain solution (a), adding (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane modifier to the solution (a) to obtain mixed solution (b), adding dehydrating agent to the solution (b) to obtain mixture (c), pouring the mixture (c) into a three-necked flask with mechanical stirrer bar, heat-stirring at 60-70 degrees C for 28-48 hours, cooled to room temperature, performing suction filtration, washing with ethanol and deionized water, drying at 60-70 degrees C in oven for 8-15 hours, cooling to obtain (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane-coated graphene oxide black powder, adding (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane-coated graphene oxide black powder to dimethylformamide, ultrasonically-treating at 60-70 degrees C to obtain suspension (d), dissolving polyvinyl chloride powder in dimethylformamide, stirring at 60-70 degrees C to obtain solution (e), mixing suspension (d) and solution (e), ultrasonically-treating the mixture to form mixed solution (f), magnetically-stirring solution (f) for 2-5 hours to form solution (g), and forming (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane-coated graphene oxide/polyvinyl chloride composite film by drying the solution (g) in oven at 60-70 degrees C for 12-20 hours and cooling to room temperature. The volume ratio of (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane modifier with respect to graphene oxide is 0.5:1-1.5:1. The mass ratio of dehydrating agent and graphene oxide is 50:1-100:1.
