NOVELTY - Use of nicotinamide is claimed for preparing electrolyte additive for preparing lithium-air battery. USE - Nicotinamide used for preparing electrolyte additive for preparing lithium-air battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The additive has not only lower the energy barrier of the battery reaction, also reduce the occurrence of side reactions inside the battery, and protect the battery component from the attack of highly active oxygen-containing group and also promote the generation of a stable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film on the surface of the lithium negative electrode, so as to effectively inhibiting the growth of lithium dendrites, and ultimately achieving the improvement of the cycle performance of the lithium-air battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a battery electrolyte, which comprises lithium salt, solvent and additive; and (2) a method for preparing battery electrolyte, which involves dissolving the lithium salt in the solvent, and adding the additives to obtain the battery electrolyte.
