NOVELTY - A gold loaded manganese oxide loaded zinc oxide/graphene oxide composite photocatalyst includes gold as core, trimanganese tetraoxide as coating and zinc oxide covering the coating in sequence, and gold loaded manganese oxide loaded zinc oxide coating structure is loaded on the surface of graphene oxide, where the particle size of gold loaded manganese oxide loaded zinc oxide is 50-100 nm. USE - Gold loaded manganese oxide loaded zinc oxide/graphene oxide composite photocatalyst used in preparation of selective adsorbents or photocatalysts for VOCs e.g. ethyl acetate, benzene or styrene. ADVANTAGE - The composite photocatalyst exhibits efficient and rapid photocatalytic degradation effect in the purification process of VOCs, and the removal rate of organic matter such as ethyl acetate, benzene and styrene is more than 99%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for preparing gold loaded manganese oxide loaded zinc oxide/graphene oxide composite photocatalyst, which involves (S1) heating distilled water in water bath at constant temperature of 30-100degreesC, and adding chloroauric acid to obtain solution (A), (S2) adding manganese salt solution to solution (A), and dripping ammonia to react to obtain solution (B) containing gold loaded manganese oxide, (S3) adding zinc salt solution to solution (B), adding graphene oxide solution to react, centrifuging the resulting solution to collect solids, washing and drying in vacuum to prepare gold loaded manganese oxide loaded zinc oxide/graphene oxide composite photocatalyst.
