NOVELTY - A metallic substrate is directly coated with a non-conductive primer which is partially coated on side(s) with a paint comprising reduced graphene oxide and a thermosetting polymer. USE - The metallic substrate is used for detecting strain deformation (claimed) for offshore industry, electronic industry and energy industry. ADVANTAGE - The metallic substrate has improved life time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of metallic substrate directly coated with a non-conductive primer, comprising depositing a non-conductive primer on a metallic substrate; depositing a mixture including reduced graphene oxide, a thermosetting monomer, a curing agent and optionally a solvent on the non-conductive primer previously deposited on the metallic substrate; and curing.
