NOVELTY - Manufacture of benzotriazole-loaded graphene oxide composite polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS-GO) flame retardant involves uniformly mixing cage polysilsesquioxane, polyacetaldehyde or paraformaldehyde and graphene oxide dispersion, heating, reacting under protective atmosphere at 160-200 degrees C for 16-20 hours, dissolving resulting compound and benzotriazole in a solvent. USE - Manufacture of benzotriazole-loaded graphene oxide composite polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane flame retardant used in coating composition for steel structure heavy-duty anti-corrosion and fire-retardant paint for forming composite coating in marine atmospheric environment (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The flame retardant capable of imparting excellent flame retardance, smoke suppression and corrosion resistance to coating can be prepared. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) coating composition, which comprises 20-30 %mass acrylic resin, 5-10 %mass amino resin, 5-8 %mass titanium dioxide, 0.5-2 %mass fluorinated graphene, 10-20 %mass filler, 10-20 %mass modified ammonium polyphosphate, 5-10 %mass pentaerythritol, 10-20 %mass anticorrosive flame retardant, 5-10 %mass smoke suppressant, 0.2-0.6 %mass dispersion aid, and 5-10 %mass auxiliary solvent; (2) steel structure heavy-duty anti-corrosion and fire-retardant paint for marine atmospheric environment, which comprises a primer containing the coating composition, and a topcoat; and (3) coating, which consists of a primer layer and a topcoat layer.
