NOVELTY - Manufacture of positive electrode involves (i) applying a mixture containing graphene oxide, a positive electrode active material, and a binder onto a positive electrode current collector, and (ii) reducing the graphene oxide. The graphene oxide has a ratio of carbon atoms to oxygen atoms (C/O) obtained by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic analysis, of 2.5-4. USE - Manufacture of positive electrode used for secondary battery such as lithium-ion secondary battery for electronic device e.g. semiconductor device, display device, liquid crystal display device, light-emitting device, lighting device, power storage device, and memory device. Uses include but are not limited to mobile phones, smartphones, electronic book, handheld game machine, television, monitor, radio, tape recorder, personal digital assistants, flashlight, hybrid vehicle, plug-in hybrid vehicle, motorcycle, electric motor and power storage devices for smart grid. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of positive electrode having reduced graphene oxide and provides the lithium-ion secondary battery having excellent energy density, reliability, flexibility, durability and capacity. The graphene oxide has excellent electric conductivity and dispersibility in solvent.
