NOVELTY - Producing cathode material, comprises (a) preparing aqueous solution containing graphene quantum dots doped with nitrogen, (b) adding lithium titanium oxide particle powder into aqueous solution containing to form a mixture, and (c) adding acid into the mixture, and drying the mixture to form a coating layer coated on the lithium titanium oxide particle with the graphene quantum dots doped with nitrogen. USE - The material is useful in lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The method suppresses gas generation phenomenon during the cycling process, reduces reduction of electrolyte. The material has improved durability, improves durability and performance of lithium ion battery, and provides shorter path for electron transfer to enable rapid charge transfer.
