NOVELTY - Preparation of expanded polystyrene-modified graphene molded product involves mixing graphite and oxide intercalation agent comprising acid, nitrate and potassium permanganate, carrying out continuous expansion of intercalated graphite for 20-200 seconds using 915 MHz high-frequency microwave, controlling the output power to 100-200 KW, carrying out ultrasonic peeling to form 3-5 graphene layer, discharging, mixing graphene with alcohol in a mass ratio of 1:5-10 for 1-5 hours, washing using alcohol, modifying, drying, and carrying out suspension polymerization using 30-35 %mass styrene, 0.25-0.65 %mass graphene, 0.05-0.2 %mass initiator, 0.4-1 %mass dispersant, 0.05-0.1 %mass additive, 2.5-4 %mass foaming agent pentane and 59.05-66.75 %mass pure water. The graphite has a purity of more than 99% and a particle size of 50-200 mesh. The mass ratio of graphite, acid, nitrate and potassium permanganate is 1:1-5:0.1-0.5:0.1-0.5. USE - Preparation of expanded polystyrene-modified graphene molded product used in military industry and electrical applications. ADVANTAGE - The prepared molded product has excellent dispersibility, conductivity, mechanical properties, surface resistance of up to 106-1012 ( Omega ), tensile strength of 0.7-1.0 MPa, compressive strength of 0.35-0.45 MPa, and flame retardant rating of B1 level.
