NOVELTY - Graphene/4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl liquid crystal lubricant, is claimed. The liquid crystal lubricant is obtained by using graphene as an additive, dispersing the graphene uniformly in the 4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl liquid crystal by ultrasonic treatment under water bath heating conditions and obtaining graphene/4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl suspension. USE - Used as graphene/4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl liquid crystal lubricant. ADVANTAGE - The lubricant: reduces friction coefficient and wear diameter of the steel ball; and realizes ultra-low lubrication of the graphene/4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl liquid crystal suspension. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) preparing graphene/4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl liquid crystal lubricant, comprising (1) adding olefin to ethanol solvent to prepare graphene dispersion having concentration of 0.2-0.8 mg/ml, and ultrasonically dispersing for 3-5 minutes, (2) taking graphene dispersion, mixing with 4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl liquid crystal, and sonicating the mixed solution under 40-50 degrees C water bath heating condition, dispersing graphene uniformly in 4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl liquid crystal, and (3) drying the step (2) uniformly dispersed suspension under vacuum at 40-50 degrees C to completely evaporate the ethanol to obtain a graphene/4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl suspension; and (2) use of graphene/4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl suspension as a lubricant, preheating the graphene/4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl suspension and friction zone before use, preheating temperature is higher than 4-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl liquid crystal clearing point of 5-15 degrees C.
