NOVELTY - The electronic structure (10) has a constraining member that constrains a graphene layer (12) to cause one or more morphological ripples in the graphene layer to generate semi-conducting regions in the graphene layer. The graphene layer is located on a substrate or located above the hole of a free space. USE - Graphene-based electronic structure for electronic device e.g. complementary-metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) device, optical detector, pressure sensor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - Behavior is reliably displayed through the graphene by limiting width of channel on silica substrate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of manufacturing electronic structure.
