NOVELTY - Preparation of composite lubricating material involves oxidizing graphite powder using potassium permanganate and concentrated sulfuric acid as oxidant to obtain first mixture containing graphene oxide sheets, adding deionized water to first mixture, adding aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution, stirring, adding alkali solution to treated first mixture, adjusting pH value and obtaining first mixture containing graphene oxide, dissolving solid particles of dopamine hydrochloride with mixed solution of absolute ethanol and deionized water and stirring to obtain second mixture, mixing first mixture containing graphene oxide and second mixture to obtain third mixture, adding ammonia and trishydrochloride buffer solution to third mixture, adjusting pH value of third mixture to alkaline, subjecting third mixture to agitation, suction filtration and centrifugation, cleaning, and drying to obtain composite lubricating material loaded with polydopamine nanospheres on surface of graphene oxide. USE - Preparation of composite lubricating material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method utilizes bioadhesion of polydopamine to enhance bonding strength between graphene and friction pair surface, and utilizes easy shearing characteristics between graphene layers, which can significantly enhance lubricating performance of the interface.
