NOVELTY - Method involves adjusting a reinforcing body into paste to obtain reinforced body paste. The reinforced body paste is deposited on a surface of a light metal base body according to a design path. A reinforcing body layer is formed. A metal strip material is pressed on the reinforcing body layer according to a same path to form a metal strip layer. A stack is formed. Arc heat is utilized to melt the formed stack to form a molten pool. The molten pool is cooled and solidified, where coating amount of the reinforcing body layer is 5-50 mg/cm2. The material of the light metal base body and metal strip material is metal magnesium. The volatile liquid is ethanol or acetone. The grain diameter of the reinforcing body is nanometre or micron grade. The reinforcing body is silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, titanium carbide, tungsten carbide, zirconium oxide, boron carbide, graphite, diamond, carbon nano tube, whisker or graphene. The electric arc heat source is tungsten inert gas or plasma arc. USE - Preparing the light metal base composite material component. ADVANTAGE - The method can effectively solve the problem that the existing preparation method has complex process, and low material utilization rate.
