NOVELTY - Preparing grapheme comprises (i) using a metal chloride-graphite intercalation compound as a raw material, immersing the metal chloride-graphite intercalation compound in water or an organic solvent, the metal chloride-graphite interlayer compound fully absorb the water or organic solvent, the boiling point of the organic solvent is not more than 100 degrees C, (ii) placing the absorbed water or organic solvent metal chloride-graphite interlayer compound in vacuum environment, heating to obtain expansion graphite and (iii) dispersing to obtain the expanded graphite thin graphene. USE - The graphene is useful in energy materials, conductive materials, thermal materials, semiconductor materials and other fields. ADVANTAGE - The graphene has high efficiency, safety, and is economical.
