NOVELTY - A lithium ion battery has an anode comprising graphene layer(s) in electrical communication with titania to form a nanocomposite material, a cathode comprising a lithium olivine structure, and an electrolyte. USE - Lithium ion battery for electrical vehicles. ADVANTAGE - The lithium ion battery has better performance, minimal internal resistance and irreversible heat generation, and demonstrate negligible degradation after 700 cycles at 1C charge/discharge rate.
