NOVELTY - A composite fiber has an alginic acid core layer and a graphene/poly(ionic liquid) skin layer coated on outer layer of alginic acid core layer. The poly(ionic liquid) has structure (I). USE - Composite fiber. ADVANTAGE - The composite fiber has excellent electrical conductivity and mechanical property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A composite fiber has an alginic acid core layer and a graphene/poly(ionic liquid) skin layer coated on outer layer of alginic acid core layer. The poly(ionic liquid) has structure of formula (I). n = 10-50. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of composite fiber.
