▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - The method (100) involves preparing (200) a poly chalcogen containing liquid e.g. poly telluride liquid. A graphene nanoplatelet containing liquid and/or an acid-based liquid is prepared (300). A liquid is mixed (500) into a uniform mixture. The mixture is filtered (600) to produce a filtrate. The filtrated is dried (700) to produce the active material comprising a dry powder, where the active material comprises a graphene particle with size of 1-1000 nanometer (nm), and concentration of graphene particles is 30-95 wt percentage. The graphene particles are decorated with amine. USE - Method for manufacturing an active cathode material for use in a rechargeable battery e.g. nickel-cadmium, lithium-ion, and lithium-sulfur batteries. Uses include but are not limited to graphene-sulfur active material, sulfur-carbon composite material, chalcogen such as sulfur, tellurium and selenium, graphene-oxide active material and a graphene nano-platelet active material. ADVANTAGE - The method provides a high-endurance, lightweight, efficient, and inexpensive battery that can be reliably manufactured at scale. The active material has high specific capacity and high specific energy. The method enables providing sulfur in abundant, readily available and inexpensive manner. The method enables providing sulfur which is non-toxic so as to make the sulfur relatively easy to employ as a cathode material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for an active material comprising a chalcogen.
