NOVELTY - The gas detection device comprises a graphene layer (3) that is formed on a silicon carbide layer (2) to form a composite silicon carbide graphene layer. A matrix contact metal layer is plated on the graphene layer of the composite silicon carbide graphene material. A zinc oxide particle layer (5) is coated on the metal layer, and gold nanoparticles (7) are formed on the graphene without contacting the metal layer. The silicon carbide side of the composite silicon carbide graphene layer material is the insulating layer. USE - Gas detection device based on silicon carbide graphene material. ADVANTAGE - The gas detection device is featured with high sensitivity and good broad spectrum. The method increases the sensitivity of the device and the level of gas detection.
