NOVELTY - Carbon nano composite material modified graphite felt, comprises 5-15 pts. wt. ethylenically unsaturated sodium carboxylate, 3-8 pts. wt. acrylamide, 5-20 pts. wt. acrylonitrile, 1-3 pts. wt. functional monomer, 1-5 pts. wt. glycidyl methacrylate, 0.3-1 pts. wt. Initiator, 5-10 pts. wt. carbon nanomaterials and 400-500 pts. wt. deionized water. USE - The graphite felt is useful for vanadium battery. ADVANTAGE - The carbon nano composite material modified graphite felt controls the carbonization degree of the aqueous bonding agent by sintering process, enhances the conductivity and realizes good bonding effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the preparing modified graphite felt comprising (i) preparation of ethylenically unsaturated sodium carboxylate by neutralizing ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid with sodium hydroxide to pH=2-3 to obtain ethylenically unsaturated sodium carboxylate; (ii) dissolving the initiator in 10-50 pts. wt. deionized water to prepare an initiator solution; (iii) adding sodium ethylenically unsaturated carboxylate, acrylamide, acrylonitrile, functional monomer, glycidyl methacrylate, remaining deionized water, after stirring and blending reaction, add the initiator solution dropwise, keep warming after the dropwise addition, and finally using sodium hydroxide solution to neutralize to pH=7 to obtain the water-based binder; (iv) adding carbon nanomaterials to the aqueous binder to disperse and mix uniformly to obtain a carbon nanocomposite dispersion; and (v) completely immersing the graphite felt in the carbon nanocomposite dispersion, taking out, drying, and sintering.
