NOVELTY - Preparing catalyst for recycling waste polyurethane comprises (1) preparing mesoporous graphene phase carbon nitride as a carrier, and (2) adding carrier and the alkali metal reagent and iron salt reagent to ethanol for a period of time, vacuumizing, filtering and drying to obtain catalyst. USE - The method is useful for preparing catalyst, which is useful for recycling waste polyurethane. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst can be recycled, simplifies the separation process, strengthens the chemical reaction, can be carried out at a lower temperature, but also reduces the generation of the by-product MDA. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: a catalyst for recycling waste polyurethane; and a method for recycling waste polyurethane comprising (i) mixing catalyst and alcoholysis agent and heating to 150-250℃, preferably 150-200℃ to form a mixed solution, where the catalyzer is used for the recovery of waste polyurethane, and the alcoholysis agent is ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, butanediol, diethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, diethylene glycol, dimethylpropylene glycol, cyclohexanediol, polyethylene glycol, and/or glycerol, and (ii) adding crushed waste polyurethane to the mixed solution and reacting for 0.5-24 hours, preferably 1-8 hours to obtain recovered polyol product.
