NOVELTY - A polyethylene fiber comprises polyethylene fiber base layer, dopamine active layer and partially reduced graphene layer. The dopamine active layer is attached to the surface of the base layer and partially reduced graphene layer is attached to the surface of the dopamine active layer in the form of a lamellar development. USE - Polyethylene fiber (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The fiber is lightweight, has excellent antistatic property and ultra high molecular weight. The fiber has improved interaction between graphene oxide and dopamine, and sufficient conductivity. The fiber has stable adsorption. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The polyethylene fiber comprises polyethylene fiber base layer, dopamine active layer and partially reduced graphene layer. The dopamine active layer is attached to the surface of the base layer and partially reduced graphene layer is attached to the surface of the dopamine active layer in the form of a lamellar development. The mass content of partially reduced graphene layer is 0.1-5%, atomic content of carbon and oxygen is 5:1-10:1, the sheet surface size is 0.1-2 mu m with 1-10 layers. The polyethylene fiber has 0.97-1.03 g/cm3 density, 15-25 mu m diameter, 30-40 cN/dtex strength, 800-1600 cN/dtex modulus, surface resistivity is 103-1011 Omega /cm, and the surface-oxygen carbon ratio is 4:1-10:1. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of polyethylene fiber, which involves adding oxidized graphene to the dispersing medium, stirred using stirrer at 500-800 rpm for 20-30 minutes, ultrasonically processing for 20-40 minutes in an ice bath to obtain stable graphene dispersion system, ultrasonically cleaning polyethylene fiber using a solvent for 0.5-1 hour, drying, adding dopamine to tris-hydroxymethyl aminomethane hydrochloride, adjusting pH to 8-11 to obtain dopamine solution, adding the treated polyethylene fiber solution to dopamine solution, leaving still for 8-24 hours, washing, and drying to obtain dopamine activated polyethylene fiber, immersing the activated fiber solution in the graphene oxide dispersion, and reducing agent, stirred using stirrer at 100-500 rpm, heating at 50-95 degrees C for 1-5 hours, washing, drying and repeating for two to ten times.
