NOVELTY - Preparing self-supporting metal phosphide nano-microstructure electrode material, comprises (i) adding metal salt to solvent to obtain a mixed solution A, (ii) adding crushed phosphorus powder as a phosphating agent to the mixed solution A, (iii) adding auxiliary agent to mixed solution to obtain mixed solution B, and (iv) transferring mixed solution C into reaction kettle, adding conductive substrate, mixing, heating, performing phosphorization reaction, directly growing phosphide nanostructure, washing with water and ethanol, and drying. The metal of the metal salt comprises iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, chromium, cadmium, tungsten, vanadium, titanium, zirconium, tin, lead, gallium, indium, silver, aluminum, lanthanum, cerium, Yttrium, neodymium, and/or erbium, where the metal is added in batches. USE - The electrode material is useful as electrolytic water for metal/air battery. ADVANTAGE - The method: utilizes wide raw material source; is economical; does not require complex device; has simple operation, and short process route without high temperature phosphating; has strong controllability; and is good for large scale industrial application. The electrode material: has strong corrosion resistance, excellent hydrogen evolution, oxygen evolution, and oxygen reduction electro-catalytic performance; and can be used for industrial large current density full hydrolysis, and long-term stability.
