▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Population of nanocomposite particles (N1) comprises: (a) hydrophilic fumed silica nanoparticles; and (b) poly (ethylene imine) (PEI) grafted to it, where there is no intervening layer between the nanoparticles and the PEI. USE - The particles are useful for reducing odors. ADVANTAGE - The particles exhibits the highest poly(ethylene imine)-grafted fraction onto the silica surface. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: population of nanocomposite particles (N2) comprising (a) hydrophobic fumed silica nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; population of nanocomposite particles (N3) comprising (a) methacrylic silica nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; population of nanocomposite particles (N4) comprising (a) aluminum oxide nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; population of nanocomposite particles (N5) comprising (a) zinc oxide nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; population of nanocomposite particles (N6) comprising (a) zeolite nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; population of nanocomposite particles (N7) comprising (a) titanium dioxide nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; population of nanocomposite particles (N8) comprising (a) carbon nanotube nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; population of nanocomposite particles (N9) comprising (a) graphene nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; population of nanocomposite particles (N10) comprising (a) carbon black nanoparticles, and (b) PEI grafted to it; producing (M1) product, comprising (a) adding at least 5 wt.% PEI, (b) adding at least 0.1 wt.% benzoyl peroxide, and (c) sonicating; producing (M2) product, comprising (a) premixing nanoparticles coated with PEI with polymeric material to form a premix, (b) mixing additional polymeric material with the premix to form a final mixture, and (c) extruding the final mixture; product produced by a method; and producing (M3) product, comprising (a) dispersing nanoparticles coated with PEI in a liquid media to produce a suspension, (b) applying the suspension to a surface of a product, and (c) evaporating the liquid media.
