NOVELTY - Preparation of beta -aminocarbonyl (I) or (II) comprises reacting aromatic aldehyde, aromatic amine and ketone in water solvent in the presence of graphene oxide catalyst at 50 degrees C for 3-6 hours. USE - Method for preparation of beta -aminocarbonyl (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, uses environment-friendly, nontoxic and inexpensive catalyst, achieves high yield, recycles catalyst, and has mild reaction condition and short reaction time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of beta -aminocarbonyl of formula (I) or (II) comprises reacting aromatic aldehyde, aromatic amine and ketone in water solvent in the presence of graphene oxide catalyst at 50 degrees C for 3-6 hours.
