NOVELTY - Preparing polyethyleneimine-modified magnetic graphene oxide adsorbent involves mixing graphene oxide, ferrous chloride and ferric chloride in water to obtain mixed solution, adding aqueous ammonia solution to obtained mixed solution, reacting to obtain magnetic triiron tetroxide/graphene oxide composite, that is, magnetic graphene oxide, reacting the obtained magnetic graphene oxide with 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane in an organic solvent to obtain silanized magnetic graphene oxide, dispersing the obtained silanized magnetic graphene oxide in water to obtain a mixed solution, adding polyethyleneimine and formaldehyde solution, reacting, and performing subsequent treatment to obtain polyethyleneimine functionalized magnetic graphene oxide adsorbent. USE - Method for preparing polyethyleneimine-modified magnetic graphene oxide adsorbent used for processing wastewater containing heavy metal ion to remove heavy metal ions, such as mercury ion (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The prepared polyethyleneimine-modified magnetic graphene oxide adsorbent has selective adsorption to mercury ion, high adsorption capacity, easy separation and reusability, and can effectively remove heavy metal ion, and is prepared by simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a polyethyleneimine-modified magnetic graphene oxide adsorbent obtained by the preparation method.
