▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A graphene nanocomposite polymeric membrane comprises sulfur-doped amine-functionalized silver-linked reduced graphene oxide. USE - Graphene nanocomposite polymeric membrane used as air filtration membrane in high-performance masks and air purifiers. Can also be used for air filters, air conditioner (AC) vents and other air purifying equipment. ADVANTAGE - The membrane is flexible, robust, nontoxic, reusable/washable more than twenty cycles without deterioration in performance, does not store any static charge on the surface of the membrane, spreads heat evenly across the surface of membrane, does not generate any secondary contamination to the air, has excellent filtration efficiency and low density, and reduces odor and humidity. The crosslinking step improves the dispersibility of reduced graphene oxide. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for synthesis of the membrane, which involves (i) taking graphite flakes in a container, (ii) synthesizing graphene oxide by modified hummers method, (iii) doping the graphene oxide with sulfur element, (iv) saturating the graphene oxide with amine group, (v) crosslinking the silver particles with the graphene oxide to obtain a graphene nanocomposite, (vi) mixing the nanocomposite with polymer matrix (polypropylene and/or polyester) in the form of slurry, (vii) coating the obtained composition on polymer foam and/or fibers, (viii) adding the polymer foam/fiber in a solution of water and ethanol, (ix) drying the fiber overnight, and (x) obtaining the graphene nanocomposite polymeric membrane. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a two dimensional view of silver-crosslinked graphene nanocomposite.
