NOVELTY - Gold-palladium/graphene catalyst grown in situ on the surface of graphene, is claimed. The gold-palladium in the catalyst has a core shell structure, the gold is core layer, the palladium is exposed outside as the shell layer, the gold-palladium core-shell structure is formed in situ on the surface of graphene, and the diameter of the gold-palladium core-shell structure can be adjusted to 3-50 nm. USE - Used as gold-palladium/graphene catalyst grown in situ on the surface of graphene. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst: is directly supported on the surface of graphene; and the preparation method: is simple and easy to operate, prepares gold palladium core-shell nanoparticles, which has regular morphology, adjustable particle size and high repeatability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the gold-palladium/graphene catalyst, comprising preparing a graphene oxide dispersion, adding a reducing agent I to the graphene oxide dispersion to obtain a mixed solution, heating the mixed solution to the reaction temperature, then adding gold precursor, where the reaction temperature is 80-100 degrees C and time is 3-60 minutes obtaining graphene-supported gold nanoparticles, then adding palladium precursor and reducing agent II to the mixed solution, where the reaction temperature is 50-100 degrees C and the reaction time is 15-300 minutes, reducing the palladium precursor in situ on the surface of gold nanoparticles to palladium, collecting the reaction solution by centrifugation, then washing and drying.
