NOVELTY - Copper sulfide/graphene composite material comprises 50-95 wt.% of copper sulfide sheet of 10-80 nm uniformly dispersed in graphene. USE - Copper sulfide/graphene composite material used as cathode in sodium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The copper sulfide/graphene composite material is prepared in simple, cost effective and easy manner. The composite material has high first coulomb efficiency, excellent electrochemical performance and long circulation life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing copper sulfide/graphene composite material which involves: (A) preparing graphene solution; (B) dissolving copper sulfate and thioacetamide in 10-1000 ml of deionized water in mass ratio of 1-5:1 with stirring to obtain a solution; (C) adding graphene oxide solution to obtain mixed solution of the precursor; (D) heating precursor hydrothermally at 60-160 degrees C for 10-100 minutes; (E) washing product with deionized water; and (F) drying product in vacuum at 100 degrees C overnight to obtain desired copper sulfide/graphene composite material.
