NOVELTY - The cathode active material has composite material of graphene and olivine type lithium phosphate compound whose particle size is set to 1-10 mu m. The raw material provided for manufacturing the cathode active material is provided with manganese source and iron raw material. The manganese source is formed of manganese (II) sulfate monohydrate, manganese (II) chloride tetrahydrate, manganese (II) nitrate tetrahydrate or manganese (II) acetate tetrahydrate. The iron raw material is formed of iron (II) sulfate heptahydrate, iron (II) chloride tetrahydrate or iron (II) acetate. USE - Cathode active material for lithium ion secondary battery (claimed) used for portable apparatus such as portable cellular phone, notebook computer and camera. ADVANTAGE - The cathode active material for lithium ion secondary battery is manufactured efficiently with simple process. The electrochemical characteristics of the lithium ion secondary battery are improved. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacturing method of cathode active material for lithium ion secondary battery.
