NOVELTY - Aqueous epoxy coating based on divalent zinc ion-modified graphite comprises aqueous epoxy resin, curing agent and filler, where the filler is modified graphene oxide modified by divalent zinc ions. USE - The coating is useful for preventing corrosion caused by chloride ion in marine environment e.g. steel bar in concrete. ADVANTAGE - The coating: realizes loading of divalent zinc ions on graphene oxide to obtain modified graphene oxide filler; improves the corrosion resistance of GO doped zinc(II) ion/WEC coating by more than 2.6 times compared with blank aqueous epoxy coating WEC; reduces corrosion current density; greatly enhances the ability of the coating to resist chloride ion corrosion; and has simple and easily operable process, improved dispersibility of graphene oxide, and improved corrosion resistance in seawater environments. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the coating, comprising firstly using zinc nitrate hexahydrate and graphene oxide to obtain filler by electrostatic self-assembly, adding filler and curing agent to aqueous epoxy resin, uniformly mixing, and coating on low-alloy steel substrate to obtain the finished product.the preparation method epoxy coating based on divalent zinc ion-modified graphite.
