NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene oxide-loaded gold sol involves adding graphene oxide to hydrogen peroxide, stirring under UV irradiation for oxidizing graphene oxide, adding oxidized graphene oxide into deionized water, and further adding sodium citrate solution, heating and stirring to boil the solution, immediately-adding chloroauric acid solution to the obtained solution, removing heat source after heating and stirring, and cooling with stirring. USE - Preparation of graphene oxide active loaded with gold sol used as enhancing agent for rapid detection in surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of stable graphene oxide-loaded gold sol having high dispersibility. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for application of graphene oxide-loaded gold sol in surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy.
