NOVELTY - Large-size diesel particulate filter comprises an inorganic component, a graphene precursor, a starch, a polymer resin, and a binder. The inorganic component comprises 30-50 wt.% talc, 5-30 wt.% kaolin, 10-25 wt.% alumina, 5-30 wt.% hydrated alumina and 5-25 wt.% silica. The amount of the graphene precursor, the starch, and the polymer resin are respectively 2-15 wt.%, 5-10 wt.% and 5-15 wt.% of the mass of the inorganic component. The amount of the binder is 2-10% by mass based on the total mass of the inorganic component, the graphene precursor, the starch, and the polymer resin. USE - The filter is useful for automobile exhaust gas purification. ADVANTAGE - The diesel particulate filter has low pressure drop and less expansion coefficient rate and is economical. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the diesel particulate filter, comprising (i) mixing an inorganic component, a graphene precursor, a starch, a polymer resin and a binder by a dry method, preparing a mixture, and kneading with water and an additive, (ii) crushing the mud material kneaded in the step (i) into a sludge section, extruding into a honeycomb structure and drying and (iii) drying the green body and sintering.
