NOVELTY - Secondary battery cathode slurry comprises solvent, cathode active material, conductive agent, binder, thickening agent and additive, where the additive is sulfur dioxide compound (1) and/or (2). USE - The secondary battery cathode slurry is useful as cathode membrane in secondary battery cathode sheet of secondary battery for new energy vehicles (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The secondary battery cathode slurry: utilizes specific cathode additives during slurry preparation, which prevents the phenomenon of bulging, wrinkling and baking cracking on the edge of the electrode sheet during coating, and improves the yield of the cathode sheet. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Secondary battery cathode slurry comprises solvent, cathode active material, conductive agent, binder, thickening agent and additive, where the additive is sulfur dioxide compound of formula (1) and/or (2). R1, R2= 1-12C alkyl, 1-12C alkoxy 6-12C aromatic hydrocarbon group, or 7-12C aryl alkyl group (all optionally substituted by 1-12 C alkyl or 1-12 C alkoxy; and R3, R4= 1-12C alkylene or 1-12C alkyleneoxy (both optionally substituted by at least one substituent including 1-12C alkyl group or 1-12C alkoxy group. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: Preparing secondary battery cathode slurry, comprising taking cathode base components, which is solvent, cathode active material, conductive agent, binder and thickening agent, and mixing the additive with the cathode base component to obtain final product; Secondary battery cathode sheet comprising a cathode collector, and cathode membrane are arranged on at least one surface of the cathode collector, where the cathode membrane comprises the secondary battery cathode slurry; and Secondary battery comprising anode sheet, cathode sheet, separator, electrolyte and packaging film.
