NOVELTY - Graphene polyester composite fiber is composed of graphene/polyethylene terepthalate nano composite material that is obtained by drying, pre-crystallizing, solid phase polycondensation, cooling and high-speed melt spinning. The graphene/polyethylene terepthalate nano composite material consists of single-layer graphene and polyethylene terepthalate. The graphite surface and the polyethylene terepthalate molecule is connected through covalent key. USE - Graphene polyester composite fiber for fabric cord. ADVANTAGE - The graphene polyester composite fiber is efficient and cost-effective, and is prepared in a simple manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing graphene/polyethylene terepthalate nano composite material, which involves: (A) drying a monolayer graphene oxide dispersion having a size of 1 to 10 microns by an atomization drying method to obtain pleated spherical graphene oxide with a carbon/oxygen ratio of 2.5-5; (B) adding 100 wt.% terephthalic acid, 48-67 wt.% ethylene glycol and 0.02 wt.% sodium acetate; (C) stirring the obtained mixture; (D) performing esterification reaction under 250 degrees C; (E) adding 0.117-1.17 pts. wt. pleat spherical graphene oxide and 0.018 pts. wt. catalyst; (F) stirring the obtained mixture for 1-3 hours; (G) raising the temperature of the mixture at 285 degrees C; (H) vacuumizing until the system is no longer exothermic; and (I) granulating the obtained mixture.
