NOVELTY - Modifying surface of titanium substrate, comprises (i) orderly performing ultrasonic treatment to titanium substrate in alkali liquid, acid liquid, de-ionized water and organic solvent, drying the titanium substrate, placing into a vacuum box, (ii) taking processed titanium substrate as anode, aluminum as counter electrode and platinum as reference electrode in acidic aluminum chloride-1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ion, performing anode activation to the processed titanium substrate, cleaning with organic solvent and drying, (iii) taking activated titanium substrate as cathode and copper as anode1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate-cupric chloride ionic liquid, electro-depositing copper on the activated titanium substrate, and (iv) depositing graphene oxide on titanium substrate after plating copper in a potassium chloride solution containing graphene. USE - The method for modifying surface of titanium substrate is useful for fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The method uses anode activation technology to process titanium substrate, effectively removes the titanium surface oxide film to obtain fresh titanium surface, protects the activated titanium surface through pre-plating compact copper plating layer on the titanium substrate, ensures the bonding force between the substrate and subsequent graphene coating, has simple process and easy to operate.
