NOVELTY - A graphene-plant fiber nanocomposite oil absorbent comprises 2.5-4 pts. wt. graphene, 30-48 pts. wt. plant fiber particles, 5-8 pts. wt. lipophilic nanoparticles, 15-24 pts. wt. adsorbent, 8-13 pts. wt. coupling agent, 7.5-12 pts. wt. film-forming agent, and 41-82 pts. wt. solvent. USE - Graphene-plant fiber nanocomposite oil absorbent. ADVANTAGE - The oil absorbent uses natural plant oil absorbing material as main raw material, is environment-friendly and has excellent oil-water separation performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the nanocomposite oil absorbent by slowly adding plant fiber particles and adsorbent to mixture of coupling agent, ethanol and isoamyl acetate, and high-speed stirring at 300-420 revolutions/minute (rpm) for 5-10 minutes to obtain first solution; drying the first solution at 45-55 degrees C for 30 minutes, and cutting obtained gel substance to cubic gel block with side length of 0.5-0.6 cm; slowly adding graphene and lipophilic nanoparticles to mixture of film-forming agent, butanone and turpentine oil, and heating to 30-40 degrees C while high-speed stirring at 450-550 rpm for 5-10 minutes to obtain second solution; and slowly adding the cubic gel blocks to second solution, adjusting pH to 5.8-6.5, stirring at 90-150 rpm, and cooling to room temperature.
