NOVELTY - A flexible strain sensor comprises an upper packaging layer, an electrode, a resistance layer, and a lower substrate layer from top to bottom. Both ends of the upper packaging layer are provided with at least one layer of fiber cloth. Both ends of the lower substrate layer are provided with at least one layer of fiber cloth. USE - The flexible strain sensor is useful for manufacturing clothes, monitoring health function, and capturing pulse, respiration, tremor and body movements of human body. ADVANTAGE - The flexible strain sensor has excellent electrical conductivity, stability, and bending property. The fiber cloth bears the action of pulling force. The upper packaging layer and the lower substrate layer have excellent bonding performance between the resin and the fiber, thus effectively bearing the pulling force, reducing the elastic performance of the sensor and preventing stretching deformation. The electrode end of the sensor has no stretchability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the flexible strain sensor, which involves: cutting the fiber cloth to a size corresponding to the electrode area, spreading the fiber cloth in a mold, pouring polydimethylsiloxane, thermoplastic polyurethane or Ecoflex (RTM: polybutylene adipate terephthalate) glue, and curing to obtain the lower substrate layer; and coating or transferring a conductive filler slurry on the lower substrate layer, placing electrode on both ends of the lower substrate layer, pouring polydimethylsiloxane, thermoplastic polyurethane or Ecoflex(RTM: polybutylene adipate terephthalate) glue, and curing.
