NOVELTY - Bonded magnetic abrasive with adjustable self-sharpening property comprises 100 pts. wt. ferromagnet, 50-300 pts. wt. abrasive, 5-10 pts. wt. nano filler, 20-40 pts. wt. bonding agent, and additive composed of 2-3 pts. wt. accelerator, 1-5 pts. wt. coupling agent and 0.5-1 pt. wt. organic activator. USE - Used as bonded magnetic abrasive with adjustable self-sharpening property. ADVANTAGE - The magnetic abrasive material has simple process and excellent self-sharpening property, service time of longer than 1 hour, stable polishing efficiency, and excellent processing consistency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the bonded magnetic abrasive with adjustable self-sharpening property, comprising (1) modifying surface of ferromagnet, abrasive and nano filler using γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (silane coupling agent KH550), γ-methacryloxypropytrimethoxysilane (silane coupling agent KH570) or methylimidazole, (2) dispersing nano fillers in binder solution, (3) adding ferromagnet powder, abrasive powder, bonding agent and additive to the binder solution in proportion, and mixing in water bath until it becomes viscous paste, (4) pressing the viscous paste into billets, and (5) vacuum drying and curing, then grading crushing, and sieving.
