NOVELTY - A lithium ion battery cathode material comprises carbon core and a cladding layer of silicon covering the core layer of the silicon/carbon composite material, and metal oxide outer cladding layer, where the core layer is made of a carbon graphene, natural graphite, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofiber and expandable graphite composition, the metal oxide layer is a metal oxide coated film made of aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, silicon oxide, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, and zirconium oxide. USE - Cathode material for lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has high performance rate and wide application range. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a lithium ion battery cathode material preparation method involves obtaining a silicon or carbon composite material.
