NOVELTY - Graphene-porous ferric oxide nanorod comprises graphene, which is loaded on the ferric oxide nanoparticles. The ferric oxide nanoparticles have honeycomb porous structure. USE - Graphene-porous ferric oxide nanorod. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-porous ferric oxide nanorod is prepared in simple and cost-effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing graphene-porous ferric oxide nanorod, which involves: (A) mixing graphene oxide and fibroin solution; (B) regulating the pH value to alkaline and then adding the obtained solution with hydrazine hydrate to obtain graphene-fibroin compound; (C) adding the obtained compound with iron source and then stirring the obtained material; (D) heating the stirred material at 120-200 degrees C for 8-36 hours; (E) cooling the heated material to room temperature and then centrifuging and drying the cooled material to obtain solid powder; (F) sintering the solid powder at 320-450 degrees C for 3-8 hours under inert atmosphere; and (G) cooling the sintered material to room temperature.
