NOVELTY - The preparation method of zinc oxide/reduced graphene oxide composite material involves preparing graphite oxide by modified Hummers oxidation method, dissolving polyvinyl alcohol with molecular weight in deionized water, adding soluble zinc salt, and magnetically stirring, freezing the solution, and drying to obtain intermediate product of foam shape, placing the intermediate product into a muffle furnace, and calcining to obtain zinc oxide nano-powder, dissolving graphite oxide in water, ultrasonically stripping, adding zinc oxide nano-powder, and ultrasonically processing. USE - Preparation method of zinc oxide/reduced graphene oxide composite material used in light, electricity, chemical and other applications. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of zinc oxide/reduced graphene oxide composite material with uniform particle size distribution and excellent dispersibility, by simple, highly-efficient, economical and environmentally-friendly process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation method of zinc oxide/reduced graphene oxide composite material involves (1) preparing graphite oxide by modified Hummers oxidation method, (2) dissolving polyvinyl alcohol with molecular weight in deionized water, adding a certain proportion of soluble zinc salt, and magnetically stirring, (3) freezing the solution in step (2), placing in a vacuum freeze dryer, and drying to obtain intermediate product of foam shape, (4) placing the intermediate product in the step (3) into a muffle furnace, and calcining to obtain zinc oxide nano-powder, (5) dissolving graphite oxide in the step (1) in water, ultrasonically stripping, adding a certain proportion of zinc oxide nano-powder in step (4), ultrasonically processing, and magnetically stirring to obtain milky white zinc oxide-graphene oxide mixed solution, and (6) adding the zinc oxide-graphene oxide mixed solution in step (5) into a hydrothermal reactor, heating in oil bath for certain time, centrifuging the product, washing, and drying. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for zinc oxide/reduced graphene oxide composite material which comprises reduced graphene oxide sheet that is coated with zinc oxide nanoparticles to form a three-dimensional network structure, where the diameter of zinc oxide is 60-150 nm.
