▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Reduced graphene oxide (RGO) reinforced rubber composition comprises a milled material comprising a reduced graphene oxide milled with: a liquid rubber; an uncured rubber elastomer; an antidegradant package; and a curing package. The liquid rubber has a molecular weight of 1500-54000 g.mol-1. The composition is placed into a mold and heated to form a cured rubber product. The curing package includes sulfur and an accelerator e.g. n-cyclohexyl -2-benzothiazole sulfonamide (CBS). The milling of the graphene oxide and the liquid rubber occurs in nitrogen or in a ball mill. USE - The composition is useful for tire design. ADVANTAGE - The composition improves dispersion by limiting re-stacking, generates covalent bonding of the RGO with the matrix and assures good interfacial adhesion, and increases the tap density to levels that enable an easy handling of the powder. A potential solvent-free, scalable process, for decreasing the lateral size of RGO platelets and grafting molecules on their surface at the same time is reactive grinding/milling. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The figure shows schematic cross-sectional view of the secant modulus curves corresponding to milled with and without liquid rubber.
