NOVELTY - Manufacture of microfibrous cellulose nanocarbon containing material involves performing a miniaturization process on a liquid mixture comprising a cellulose fiber having an ionic substituent, a nanocarbon precursor, and a solvent, and suppressing the bubbling. USE - Manufacture of microfibrous cellulose nanocarbon containing material used in coating material, resin composition, concreting material, structure of filament form and plate shape, electromagnetic wave shield and electrochemical device (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method produces microfibrous cellulose nanocarbon containing material having excellent particle dispersibility. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for microfibrous cellulose nanocarbon containing material, which has a fiber width of 1000 nm or less, and thixotropic index value (TI value) of 2 or more, calculated on the following conditions (a) where the microfibrous cellulose nanocarbon containing material is dispersed in water, and the dispersion liquid having viscosity measured at 23 degrees C and the rotation speed of 3 rpm in the Brookfield viscometer of 1000 cps is obtained, and the viscosity ( eta ) of the dispersion liquid measured at 23 degrees C and the rotation speed of 60 rpm in the Brookfield viscometer is measured. The ratio of value of 1000 to viscosity ( eta ) is defined as the thixotropic index value (TI value) of the microfibrous cellulose nanocarbon containing material.
