NOVELTY - A graphene quantum dot is prepared by dissolving a natural macromolecule as carbon source in water to obtain precursor solution, adding concentrated sulfuric acid into the precursor solution, and sealing and stirring the precursor solution, followed by transferring the precursor solution into a reaction kettle and placing in an oven to obtain reaction product, filtering and dialyzing the reaction product in a dialysis membrane to obtain aqueous solution of graphene quantum dots to prepare the final product. USE - Graphene quantum dot that is utilized for preparing a quantum dot sensitized solar cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene quantum dot can be prepared with better stability and high yield, in a simple, easy and cost-effective manner.
