NOVELTY - Direct methanol fuel cell membrane electrode comprises stacked anode gas diffusion layer, anode catalytic layer, electrolyte membrane, cathode catalytic layer and cathode gas diffusion layer. The anode gas diffusion layer has ultra-thin structure with thickness of 5-100 mu m and porosity of 20-90%. The anode gas diffusion layer comprises electronic conductor material and adhesive. The electronic conductor material comprises carbon fiber, carbon nanotube, graphene or semiconductor fiber. The adhesive comprises polytetrafluoroethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride, perfluorosulfonic acid polymer or polybenzimidazole. USE - Direct methanol fuel cell membrane electrode used in direct methanol fuel cell, direct ethanol fuel cell or liquid fuel cell, such as dimethyl ether fuel cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrode enables to reduces thickness of membrane electrode gas diffusion layer. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing membrane electrode, which involves: (A) preparing anode followed by mixing electronic conductor, and adhesive according to mass ratio of 19:1-3:2, and adding solvent to disperse uniformly, where mass solid content of electronic conductor, and adhesive in slurry is 1-20%; electronic conductor, which comprises carbon fibre, carbon nano tube, graphene, semiconductor fibre, and adhesive, which comprises polytetrafluoroethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride, perfluorosulfonic acid polymer, polybenzimidazole; then ultrasonically dispersing slurry uniformly, using shear stirrer to disperse under condition of 20-80 degrees C; after uniformly dispersing, preparing porous film material by filtering method, or coating method; carrying out heat treatment to porous film material under air condition to obtain prepared ultra-thin anode gas diffusion layer; using obtained anode gas diffusion layer as substrate to prepare anode catalytic layer by using brush coating, or coating method; (B) preparing cathode; and (C) pressing membrane electrode.
