NOVELTY - Sliding member, comprises a first sliding portion that has a first friction sliding mechanism having two first parts and that has a first lubricant placed between the first parts, a second sliding portion that has a second friction sliding mechanism having two second parts and that has a second lubricant placed between the second parts, and a third sliding portion that has a third friction sliding mechanism having two third parts and that has a third lubricant placed between the third parts, where the first sliding portion is in contact with the third lubricant, the second sliding portion is not in contact with the third lubricant, the first lubricant contains first base oil and a first additive, the second lubricant contains second base oil and a second additive containing conductive carbon, and the third lubricant contains third base oil and a third additive. USE - Sliding member for an automobile, where the sliding member is an electronically controlled differential or coupling (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sliding member makes it possible to remove static charge from the sliding member that is charged during use and a product e.g. an automobile equipped with the sliding member, to improve driving stability of the product by the static charge removal, and to efficiently implement functions other than the static charge removal. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Sliding member, comprises a first sliding portion that has a first friction sliding mechanism having two first parts and that has a first lubricant placed between the first parts, a second sliding portion that has a second friction sliding mechanism having two second parts and that has a second lubricant placed between the second parts, and a third sliding portion that has a third friction sliding mechanism having two third parts and that has a third lubricant placed between the third parts, where the first sliding portion is in contact with the third lubricant, the second sliding portion is not in contact with the third lubricant, the first lubricant contains first base oil and a first additive, the second lubricant contains second base oil and a second additive containing conductive carbon, the third lubricant contains third base oil and a third additive, the third lubricant contains no conductive carbon, and the second lubricant contains a relatively larger amount of the conductive carbon than the first lubricant.
