NOVELTY - A graphene/nanocellulose/polyvinyl alcohol ternary composite aerogel comprises 15-50 wt.% nanocellulose and 5-10 wt.% polyvinyl alcohol. USE - Graphene/nanocellulose/polyvinyl alcohol ternary composite aerogel. ADVANTAGE - The composite aerogel solves the problem of limited use of graphene aerogel due to its insufficient mechanical properties and the insufficient performance of a single component aerogel. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for the preparation of the graphene/nanocellulose/polyvinyl alcohol ternary composite aerogel, which involves (1) dissolving graphene oxide and nanocellulose in deionized water, and stirring until the solution is uniformly mixed to obtain a graphene oxide/nanocellulose mixed solution, (2) pouring the graphene oxide/nanocellulose mixed solution obtained in step (1) into a hydrothermal reactor, then placing the hydrothermal reactor into an oven to heat, cooling to room temperature and removing to obtain a graphene/nanocellulose hydrogel, (3) soaking the graphene/nanocellulose hydrogel in a 10-30 wt.% aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol to obtain a graphene/nanocellulose/polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel, and (4) placing the graphene/nanocellulose/polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel obtained in step (3) into a freeze-dryer and freezing to obtain the product.
