▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The conductor has a graphene core surrounded by a sheath. The graphene core comprises particulate graphene material compressed within the sheath. The conductor is formed using a powder in tube process, where particulate graphene is placed in a tube comprising the sheath material and the tube drawn to provide the graphene core and sheath. The graphene core and sheath structure form a wire. The particulate graphene powder comprises graphene flakes. The sheath is formed of a metallic and polymer. USE - Electrical multifilament conductor for use in an electrical power transmission line (claimed) of electrical power grids. Can also be used for transformers and electric motors. ADVANTAGE - The conductor provides reduction in loses during transmission to enable improved efficiency, allow wider distribution and improve power grid performance. The conductor provides promising material to potentially significantly reduce loss of electric energy caused by resistance of the transmission lines, while enhancing electrical properties of materials added graphene or carbon nanotubes into copper or aluminum directly during physical metallurgy process to form materials that consist of a mixture of metal and graphene. The conductor can produce a highly dense and well aligned graphene structure by using a powder-in-tube technique with graphene flakes, thus significantly improving electrical path way. The conductor can improve characteristics of input particulate graphene material to the powder in tube manufacturing process and improve quality of the materials. The conductor can anneal reduce graphene oxide in a reduction atmosphere so as to remove oxygen from a surface of the graphene, thus increasing specific surface area of the materials. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The sheath is formed of a metallic and polymer. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for producing an electrical conductor. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a photographic view of an image of a cross sectional prototype aluminum/reduced graphene oxide composite wire.
