NOVELTY - Preparing aluminum-based powder core wire comprises (i) mixing 20-30 pts. wt. nickel, 15-20 pts. wt. chromium, 5-20 pts. wt. iron boride, 3-7 pts. wt. titanium diboride, 3-7 pts. wt. graphene, 3-7 pts. wt. α-aluminum oxide, 1-2 pts. wt. cerium dioxide and 50-70 pts. wt. aluminum powder with particle size of 40-80 μm, (ii) placing the powder into a planetary ball mill, adding 20-30 pts. wt. absolute ethanol, ball milling for 2 -3 hours under the protection atmosphere, taking out and adding 30-40 pts. wt. deionized water, 5-10 pts. wt. polyvinyl alcohol, stirring and configuring slurry, spray-drying the slurry and sieving to obtain powder, and (iii) adopting the outer skin of the wire material of 10×0.2 mm pure aluminum strip, rolling into U shape, adding the powder into the U shaped groove, closing the U-shaped groove, covering the powder core, drawing mold, gradually drawing, reducing diameter, and finally controlling the diameter to 2-3 mm. USE - The aluminum-based powder core wire is useful for boiler water cooling wall arc spraying (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The protective coating has excellent corrosion resistance, erosion resistance, high temperature oxidation resistance, high bonding strength, low porosity, and wide application.
