NOVELTY - Graphene dispersion contains (A) graphene and polyvinyl alcohol, where the average thickness of the graphene is 0.3-10 nm, and the polyvinyl alcohol saponification rate is 70-100%, and where the graphene dispersion contains 10-300 pts. wt. polyvinyl alcohol per 100 pts. wt. of the graphene. USE - The graphene dispersion is used in a positive electrode paste for positive electrode for a lithium ion battery (all claimed). The lithium ion battery is used in various applications such as mobile devices such as smartphones and mobile phones, hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles, and household storage batteries, and used in applications required to suppress a decrease in battery capacity due to repeated charging and discharging to improve battery life. ADVANTAGE - The graphene dispersion and a positive electrode paste allow graphene to be mixed uniformly when being mixed with a positive electrode active substance, and provide a lithium ion battery positive electrode having improved battery life. The graphene dispersion has excellent fluidity and excellent graphene uniformity when mixed with the positive electrode active material. The positive electrode paste has excellent coating film uniformity, increases the solid content, and improves battery life. The paste suppresses deterioration of the conductive path due to repeated charging and discharging. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a positive electrode paste comprising a positive electrode active material, the graphene (A), and polyvinyl alcohol; and (2) a lithium ion battery positive electrode comprising the positive electrode for a lithium ion battery containing a positive electrode active material, the graphene (A) and polyvinyl alcohol.
